The first attempt to restore riparian habitats – grey alder forests – took place this autumn, a little before the temperatures fell under 0° Celsius. We managed to plant in two areas (one below the Pecineagu Lake and one further upstream close to the tributary of V. Vladului), summing up to a surface of over 16 ha and a total number of 6.900 planted grey alder saplings. The saplings were all extracted from dense natural regeneration located on the shores of Pecineagu Lake.
