Harsh weather conditions in the mountains around Dâmboviţa Valley has forced the erosion control operations to stop for this year, since the excavator cannot cope with the snowfall and the frozen soil. As an overall progress in 2014, we managed to restore the natural terrain on 2.4 km of skidding tracks on about 1 ha in the Draxin – Pârâul Încurcat area (see map) and 1.4 km in Piscul Mănăstirii, before the temperatures dropped by the end of last week.
