On September 25th, FCC together with the Romanian Ecotourism Association (AER) held a first workshop about eco-tourism in the FCC project area. After a short presentation of FCC’s vision regarding the development of outdoor and wilderness tourism, Andrei Blumer from the AER talked about meaning and benefits of eco-tourism and the possibilities for Upper Dimbovita to become a high value nature tourism destination. The second half of the meeting was dedicated to an open discussion about the current problems for tourism operators and possible solutions, which were summarized by the end of the day. All participants agreed that such meetings shall be continued on a regular basis to commonly develop this destination.
