Onset of winter is closing erosion control work

Since yesterday winter has arrived in the project area. When our colleagues working on erosion control woke up yesterday morning in the forest cabin they stay throughout the week, they stepped on snow. After a long and warm autumn, which allowed us to work quite a while longer than expected, winter has eventually put a hold to all restoration activities. For safety reasons, they drove both excavators down the mountain, to be winterised and maintained for the next season. The total distance of eroded forest tracks, covered with soil and stabilised this year adds up to 4.32 km.
