The beginning of the year has been unusual here with lots of fluctuations in temperature. Considering the warm weather at the beginning of March, last week we decided to start preparing the planting campaign, by rooting saplings, taking them out of the nurseries, bringing them to planting sites and even planting in some lower areas. But, three days after the work started, weather turned cold again and snow came. It seems we have to stop for the next two days, due to freezing cold and a 10 cm layer of snow. Next week we will continue and try to fulfill our objective of planting 317,000 saplings on approx. 80 hectares, until the end of April 2016. Eight rangers will supervise the work of approx. 90 seasonal workers during this time and make sure of success.
