High nature value pastures at Cobor

For the rest of the year we have decided to share with you the visual joy the beautiful meadows from Cobor offer to us.

From the Roses Family mostly often, on the hills of Cobor, we discover Dog Rose (Rosa canina) and Gallic Rose (Rosa gallica).

Just as widespread are Carthusian Pink (Dianthus carthusianorum), Tuberous Pea (Lathyrus sylvestris), Purple Crown Vetch (Coronilla varia), Ragged Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi), European centaury – used as medicinal plant (Centaurium erythraea), Common Sainfoin (Onobrichys viciifolia) and many more…

If in spring we have found Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris) and Cypress Spurge (Euphorbia cyparissias), summer brought beautiful Bird’s Foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus), a high nutritional fodder value plant, Lady’s Bedstraw (Galium verum) – a plant with magical powers according to Romanian folklore, Common buttercup (Ranunculus acris), Yellow Rattle species (Rhinathus sp.) semiparasite species, Golden Flax (Linum flavum), Black Broom (Cytisus nigricans) and many others…
