“We make Romania green”, the first MedLife initiative of social responsibility continues in the planting season of 2019-2020. MedLife, the Romanian medical services clinic, contributes to the health and balance of future generations and covers the costs of planting and growing a baby tree for each new born baby, in partnership with Foundation Conservation Carpathia.

The project started in 2017 and so far, 40,000 seedlings of fir, beech and spruce have been planted in an area that is not easily accessible and deeply affected by harmful logging, the Eastern Făgăraș Mountains. And for autumn 2019 – spring 2020, we have set a target of another 15,000 saplings.

For one day we enjoyed the field visit of the 65 doctors, nurses, biologists, lab assistants, administrative staff from Medlife Bucharest, Brasov, Iasi, Cluj and Craiova, who helped us to plant 850 saplings, within the Dâmbovița Valley. The day ended very tastily at one of the guest houses in Satic, where the volunteers enjoyed an outdoor lunch made from local products.

A new forest will grow in the east of the Făgăraș Mountains, along with 55,000 children!
